Screen scraping, as defined as gathering data from one application by inputting user credentials and displaying the data somewhere else, has been around for years and is widely used. In fact, it’s estimated that millions of banking customers are currently giving their login credentials to third party applications and data aggregators to do this. With an estimated failure rate of 33%, there must be a better way. How do banks securely share consumer-permissioned data within the expanding ecosystem of third-party financial applications while driving innovation and full data access?

In this session, we explore:

  • Alternative methods of sharing data with third parties
  • Strategies for enhanced customer data security and privacy
  • The evolution of data consumption and the role of data intermediaries.
